Renewable Energy Dandenong (RED) Facility
The Renewable Energy Dandenong (RED) facility is Carbon Partners' flagship project to be located in Dandenong South, Melbourne.
The RED facility will transform various green and food organic wastes into base-load renewable electricity and a premium organic fertiliser using GBU anaerobic digestion technology.
The RED facility will have capacity to receive up to 140,000 tonnes per annum with total digester capacity of 24 ML and gross installed generation capacity of 6.8 MW. Principal outputs from the facility include:
- minimum renewable electricity generation of 43,000 MWh per annum;
- net exportable electricity output of 50,700 MWh per annum;
- audited greenhouse gas abatement of at least 200,000 tonnes CO2e per annum (AGO compliant).
Regional Projects
Carbon Partners is engaged in feasibility development for several regional projects ranging in size from 20,000 to 60,000 tonnes per annum of organic waste input.
Agricultural Projects
Carbon Partners is working with major dairy project developers to incorporate advanced anaerobic digestion manure management systems to minimise water use and provide on-site power and heat requirements.
